Final Cake

What I think turned out best about our cake was the piping and how well the texture the icing was. What didn't go as expected was the way our fondant turned out, if I were to redo this cake again I would have made more fondant so that it could have fully fit and the cake. I would have also made it all in just one batch so they weren't tinted different colors. Our cake had a final of three tiers. The three types of icing mediums that we used was the fondant, buttercream and the colored buttercream. The fondant was used over the entire cake to make it look more neat and smooth. The buttercream was used to write the blue lettering for the title, which was used with a smaller tip. The colored buttercream was used for the decorations like the border, flowers and the leaves and all of the other details. The flower types that we used are called rosettes and drop flowers, they were made out of icing. The materials that went to waste was some icing along with extra cake. In the future to avoid it I would pick a smaller cake pan for our smallest tier and I would make less icing.
